What is Abbott WMM (Abbott World Marathon Majors)?
The Abbott World Marathon Majors (Abbott WMM) consists of seven marathon races (Tokyo, Boston, London, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago, and New York) and aims to promote the development of marathon running, raise awareness of elite athletes, and build a global community of marathon runners.
What is the AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Ranking?
Since 2018, the organization has been running world ranking races categorized by age group, starting with those 40 and over, in 5-year increments. The Kobe Marathon joined in 2021. Runners aged 40 and over who participate in participating races can earn points for their age group ranking and also find out their world ranking among their peers.
The AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Rankings qualifying period lasts one year (January 1st to December 31st), during which participating runners compete for points in nine age categories by competing in marathon races around the world. Runners who are ranked at the top of their age group at the end of the qualifying period will be invited to the AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Championships.

Notice to all runners
Please see the following two points for more information.
(1) For runners who complete the Kobe Marathon: Approximately two weeks after the race, you can view your age-group world ranking on a dedicated website .
* Please enter your name, gender, and age group.
* If you have participated in multiple competitions, your best time will be used.
(2) Runners who have cleared the qualifying time should first register their information in the input form .
* If you meet the qualifying time based on net time, you will receive a notification from AbbottWMM.
* If you meet the age-group qualifying time but your registration cannot be confirmed, the Kobe Marathon Organizing Committee Secretariat may contact you.
