Inportant Race Instructions

1. Race Rules and Regulations

This competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest World Athletics (WA) rules, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) competition rules, and the regulations of this competition. Furthermore, as this is a WA-certified WA-labeled race, the World Athletics Label Road Races Regulations will also apply. Doping tests will also be conducted in accordance with WA regulations.

2. Registration

    Friday, November 13, 2026, 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM (last entry)
    Saturday, November 14, 2026, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (last entry)
    Location: Kobe International Exhibition Hall, Building 1, 1st Floor (EXPO venue)

    - Downloaded web version of the participation form (smartphone) or printed participation form (paper)
    *Identity verification will be conducted at the time of registration.
    *Applications by proxy are not accepted.
  2. Baggage check-in date and time: Sunday, November 15, 2026, 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
    Location: Follow the guided route provided by the participant instructions, check in your luggage, and line up at your respective starting block.

3. Athlete bibs and measurement tags

  1. Athlete bibs with timing tags must be worn on the front.
    *Registered athletes with the Japan Association of Athletics Federations should also wear an athlete bib on their back.
    You cannot wear the charity athlete bib.
    *If you are not registered with the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and are applying for a charity athlete bib, please also wear the athlete bib on the back.
  2. The timing tag will not be collected after the finish.

4. Changing rooms and luggage

  1. Changing facilities are available at the starting point, Higashi Yuenchi Park and Minato-no-Mori Park (Kobe Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Park).
  2. Please take your luggage directly to the baggage drop-off truck for your designated block.
    We cannot accept items that do not fit in the baggage bag. (e.g., long umbrellas)
  3. Baggage return and changing rooms are available at Takahama Wharf or Kamomeria Parking Lot.
  4. Please keep and manage your own valuables.

5.Award

Date and Time: November 15, 2026 (Sunday), 1:00 PM (scheduled)
Location: Undecided (will contact the relevant player)
Target participants: Overall men's and women's top 8 finishers

6. Warm-up

Please conduct your warm-up exercises within Higashi Yuenchi Park, Minato-no-Mori Park (Kobe Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Park), and other restricted areas, ensuring you do not obstruct traffic or pedestrians. Please note that warming up outside of restricted areas is dangerous and therefore prohibited.

7. Start

For the first wave, please gather in your designated block between 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM. For the second wave, please gather in your designated block between 7:45 AM and 9:05 AM. Those who gather first should move to the front and line up.
*If a participant from the second wave starts in the first wave, they will be disqualified.

8. Distance display

Distance markers will be placed every 1 km, at the halfway point, and starting from 5 km before the final distance.

10. Prohibition of assistance

Competitors must not receive any assistance from others during the race.
However, temporary physical contact by competition officials or medical staff to check on a competitor's condition or ensure their safety will not be considered assistance.

11. Traffic restrictions

Traffic restrictions will be in place along the entire course.

12. Gate (TBD)

If you fail to reach the checkpoint by the designated time, you must immediately stop competing, follow the instructions of the competition officials, and board the checkpoint bus.

14. Runner Pick-up

In the following cases, the race will be stopped and you must board the checkpoint bus or the last bus of the group.

  1. If you withdraw from the race due to difficulty running, an abnormality occurring during the race, or other reasons.
  2. If you fail to reach the checkpoint within the specified time.
  3. If a race official or medical staff instructs a participant to stop competing at any point on the course other than a checkpoint.
    *In that case, please follow the instructions and either board the last bus following the next one, or move to the side of the course and walk to the next checkpoint.

15. Guidance after the finish

After finishing, please follow the instructions of the race officials and walk slowly without stopping.

16. Results (Japanese only)

Finishers can download a PDF containing their results from RUNNET on the day of event, November 15th (Sunday), via their smartphone, tablet, or computer (searchable by athlete bib number or name). This will be available for one week after the race (until November 23rd (Monday)). Please note that this is a preliminary result; for official results, please check the web-based certificate below.

17. Web-based certificate of completion (Japanese only)

Please download it from RUNNET.
Further details will be announced around mid-December in the "What's New" section of the tournament website, so please check there for updates.
Web-based certificates can be issued via computer or smartphone for two years after the event.

We do not offer printing or mailing of web-based record certificates.

18. Others

  1. The organizers will not be held liable for any injuries or illnesses that occur during the competition, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence on their part.
    *Only first aid will be provided.
  2. In this race, there are sections where green cones have been placed to distinguish them for emergency vehicles.
    Although this section is narrow, please cooperate by staying within the boundaries of the green cones designated for emergency vehicles.
  3. The organizers assume no responsibility whatsoever for water or food distribution outside of designated locations.
  4. There are some sharp curves on the course, so please drive carefully.
